Susan “Susi” Rachouh, MA, FNTP
Susan’s Journey
Susan “Susi” Rachouh began her journey toward healing after a health crisis in 2012. She was working in international education at a university in Brooklyn, NY and had a 90-minute commute by bus and subway each way. She was overweight and exhausted most of the time. One day, while talking with colleagues at work, she felt a strange feeling overcome her and she thought she might faint. The feeling passed, but she felt some tingling on the left side of her face and head and decided to walk to the local hospital with a friend. 36 hours later, after numerous tests and insinuations that she was “just being emotional”, Susan left the hospital and turned towards a more holistic approach.
Taking a Holistic Approach
Working with her health practitioners, Susan began to take charge of her health through eating nutrient dense, properly prepared foods as well as supplements, yet food sensitivities and food reactions were still occurring. These symptoms led her to do her own research, joining numerous online nutrition and holistic health related groups. After cutting out foods that inflamed her, Susan lost 60 pounds. She talked about food and nutrition so much that her friends and family said, “Why don’t you study this and start a second career as a side business?” And that’s exactly what she did.
Becoming a Practitioner
After becoming a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner in 2017, Susan knew she wanted to combine her experience working in education with her love of nutrition. This led her to become licensed to teach two powerful workshops. RESTART® and Finally Free empower the participant to build their nutritional confidence and overcome emotional eating.
